Tuesday, April 20, 2004   Oh my gosh NYC was so awesome! Highlights are as follows: Thursday: -trying to comfort the people who had never flown before and also those who were scared of flying -our plane with TV's in the back of each seat and free headphones -arriving in the city -the GOD truck (Garenteed Overnight Delivery) 1-800-DIAL-GOD -Hairspray -our hotel room on the 33rd floor Friday: -Ground Zero :-( -Batterie (sp?) Park -Wall St. -Chinatown -Little Italy (not such a good time) -gelato -riding the Subway!!!!! -LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS!!!!!!!! THE BEST MUSICAL EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -Andy forcing Aaron's dad to buy me food before I passed out -fun times in the room (-are the guys in there? -no... *giggle*) OH GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER! LOL! Saturday: -Shopping in Chinatown with Elyse and co. (got some really cute stuff!) -Eating in Little Italy (again, bah) -Thouroughly Modern Millie (with Susan Egan) -standing in line with TWB for standing room tickets to Mamma Mia and being the third to last person to get them -dinner with four gay men (fun times...don't ask) at a tiny restaurant only local New Yorkers knew about called Vinyl -Mamma Mia (cheesy but good) -Jan (not a girl) paying for a richashaw ride back (it's a bike with a seat on the back) -going to a little souvenir shop and buying a SUPERSTAR tag and a Broadway shirt Sunday: -meeting Hugh Jackman -sleeping in till 10:00 (I slept like a dead person) -the plane ride home: "I thought you weren't scared of small planes!" "I'm not scared until the power goes out!" (everyone on small plane laughs) -the plane smelling like pooh cuz it hadn't been used in a few days -us almost missing our plane because it changed gates at the last second (reminded me of Home Alone where the whole big group is running to catch the plane) -"I'M A LESBIAN!" (everyone who was there proceed to crack up...everyone who wasn't...you should've been) Ash and Amanda, you guys were great roomates! I had a blast! And now.... My homework is calling. Umm let's see leaving for NYC tomorrow! Whoo-hoo! Don't have time to do my homework...what will I do? I dunno. Musical rehearsals are hard. Ballet classes are hard. Anna let me have it today when I forgot an excersice. *tear* Ummm Beth hurt her back and I hope it gets better soon! I will try to blog from NY if I can find an internet cafe for cheap. Anyway, I have to go pack because it's not 9:13 and I am leaving tomorrow morning at 5:00 am and I haven't even started packing yet. Yeah. It's all good, I'm a good part in my school play and that's in the Victory boo-ya! Congrats, Betsy and Andrew. Oh, and Kyrie and Claire both made dancer parts too! YAY! Congrats to EVERYONE! It should be a fun summer. So...um lots of homework to do. Mrs. Gogel gave us a ton of Soviet Union homework that I'm gonna go do. Two pre-calc assignments and I can't remeber what either of them were. Gotta finish Gulliver's Travels and write a paper on that. So needless to say, I have to go. Three friggin summers of my life invested in this thing and I didn't even make the first cut! Oh, well they were only reading for Rosemary, Miss Jones, and Hady and I want Smitty, so they weren't reading for the part I wanted. I didn't realize that at the time. I stayed after and read a little bit for the director. Ummm also met a really hot guy. Yeah! I think everyone who made the final cut did an amazing job and I hope everyone does really well....especially me! (hey, it's my blog!) Well, I gotta go, I make myself sick when I get upset, and I think I need to go lie down. (lay down?) Laine and Jay I wanna do something this weekend! Candy, we will get our nails done tomorrow! I haven't blogged in soooooo long! I really can't afford to now, but I just have to. Okay, here goes. Today at lunch two of my friends kissed. Ummm someone kissed me today. And okay. I was to "get me out of my shell" or something. Who knows. It was a guy. (No, at Sig that doesn't go without saying.) Tomorrow are friggin auditions for EVSC and I'm still memorizing my song. I think I've got it, though. Play is going great. It's lots of fun. Umm what else what else. I dunno.
