My musical of a life. I often break out into song. Deal with it. :) Don't stress. Relax. Let life roll off your back.

Okay, where was I? Right. Thursday, July 22, 2004 - Well, I got to Seaworld and saw the sea otter, dolphin, and Shamu shows. I liked them except that they are demeaning to the animals. They force the animals to act like humans because that's "cute" and "funny" but really it's just not showing what the animals are really capable of. But I still love seeing the animals. - We went to this place called Souplantation for dinner. It was really good. Some guy gave me the once over as I was headed to get a fork and he goes "Hey." He wasn't terrible looking, but really. HEY? Bad pick-up line. Friday, July 23 2004 - We went to the beach in the afternoon and I boogie-boarded for two hours. I thought I put enough sunscreen on, but apparently I didn't and I got really burnt all on my back, but particularly my right side. OUCH! But worth it. So worth it. I love the beach. - We went to this place called Moo Time for dessert and I treated the family to ice cream because I was staying with them. It was soooo good! Saturday, July 24 2004 - We (maggie, sara, abbie, and I) rode bikes into town and ate at a cute little Spanish restaurant. We went shopping and I bought a Hurley Int'l shirt (for those of you who don't know, that's a surfing co) and it's really cute. Then they said we could go to Moo Time again later and we didn't. They said we'd go the next day on my way to the ariport and we didn't. I was so sad! - Jeff (the dad) and JT and I went boogie boarding again. I caught some awesome waves! They were the biggest I'd ever boarded. I dove into one not realizing my board didn't want to sink and it got me all tangled up and I hit my head on the ocean floor (I think that's what I hit it on) and then when I came up for breath another wave caught me and my starp for my board was encircling me and I couldn't get above the water. It was really scary, but exhilarating at the same time. Sunday, July 25 2004 - We went to mass (although I'm not Catholic) and it was a good sermon. Then we left for the airport and I flew home. Now, when I got back, I went to Holiday World. Actually, this was Wednesday. So here's my story. Em-em and I got there and the crowd was the biggest we'd ever seen and we were all upset because we went on a weekday specifiaclly to avoid crowds. Anyway, we won Alyse a pink frog named Bob and went to the waterpark and rode the Otto, the Zinga, and the Zoombabwe. Then we went on the Congo River and this guy started pushing Emily's intertube. He started twirling mine too. Then we started talking and I go "Look, if I sit like this it looks really cool" but then the guy (Justin) pushed me off and completely dunked me so Em and I start splashing him and his friend swims over and joins in and he's like "NO FAIR! Three on one!" So we kept talking to them and agreed to meet at the Raven. We got changed and headed up when Justin comes running behind us and goes "What, you're leaving without us?" And we were like "No, we thought you were already there." So we waited and ended up riding the Legend instead. Then Justin and Cody (his friend - they were both very cute btw) said they had to meet friends and where were we going. I wanted to ride the Hollow Swings and it was clear they were trying to get us to follow them and we didn't. We went to the Hollow Swings. A few minutes later we turn around and who's there? Justin and Cody. We about died laughing. So we rode that with them and then the Liberty Launch and then they wanted to play games and we wanted to ride Bumper Boats so we did. We didn't see them for a while and then they appeared at the back of the line. We about died laughing again. They jumped over the fence dividing us and asked if they could ride one with each of us. We said sure, but the lady behind us had told the Holiday World worker that "These boys are cutting" and the worker wouldn't let us explain they we weren't taking up any extra boats. The boys left and the lady behind us goes "When you have kids you'll understand. My daughter has been waiting here a long long time and that's really not appreciated." I told her we weren't taking up any more boats and she just threw me a look. Then she gets in her own boat and her daughter rides with the dad. So the mom didn't care about her daughter, she only cared about herself. Hmph. Emily and I decided that if Justin and Cody were still in the park, they'd be in the Raven. We went there and didn't see them. I thought they said they had to leave at * anyway and this was 8:30. So we're chilling in line and I hear "Julie!" and I look up and Justin was up there waving to us. I honestly was worried about emily. I thought she might burst an artery she was laughing so hard. We hoped they'd wait for us but they didn't. No, Emily and I didn't get thier numbers. They live in Paoli. Too far. So the moral of this story is: Flirting where nothing will ever from it is the best kind there is! And also, if you go to Holiday World on a crowded day, your chances are better of meeting hot nice guys. The end! Now that's a good story folks - and true too! Ask Emily if you don't believe me. Her page is linked to mine. I went to the 4-H fair (aka hicksville) tonight with ashley and we met meredith, brandsasse, guzzo, amy and abby k there. These two girls in the contest sung a duet from the 60's and were totally wearing our Paris Original dresses. HEHE! Night, folks! - posted by Jewels @ 10:51 PM (0) comments Friday, July 23, 2004

Hello again to all my friends! Uh, yeah. So... right into it then. Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - after I got up I didn't do much of anything but read and hang around - at 2:30 we went to the pool and swam till 4:00 - I may have gotten a mottled tan. You know how everyone says Cali guys are all really hot with bleach blonde hair and great tans and hot bodies? OMG, so true! Seriously I kept staring at the lifeguard - I couldn't help it! They don't make 'em like that where I come from - We came home and I showered in JT's shower and then we ate dinner (Mexican - homemade! YUM!) - We watched Master of Disguise and went to bed. Abbie was pretty quiet, actually. She said she had a headache. Thursday, July 22, 2004 - I got up at like 9:30 again and hung around and ate breakfast (Trix w/out milk) - I've been hanging around all day (well, it's only been a few hours) waiting for Karen to come back from her hair appt. to take us to SEA WORLD! HELL YEAH! I hate not being able to drive, though. It's frustrating beyond words. We were all ready to leave hours ago and we are forced to sit here and wait for Karen. Oh, grrr. I'll live, though. - I'll tell you all about Sea World when we get back! (If we ever even go! j/k) Thought for the Day: "They should make $11 bills. That would be helpful." -Abbie- (bear in mind that she's six years old) - posted by Jewels @ 12:46 PM (0) comments Wednesday, July 21, 2004
HEY! I'm here in beautiful San Diego. Oh my gosh, it's so nice here! This is my first time to Cali, and I love it. I'm so pale, though. Even my little six year old former neighbor is tanner than me. Right now we're waiting for the family's mom to come back from her hair appt. Then we're gonna go swimming I think. This next part is really just to help me remember all the things I've done so feel free to ignore it. Tuesday, July 20, 2004 - drove to Terre Haute and switched drivers with Laura - Laura dropped me off at the airport after we ate there - I boarded my plane (ask me about how my prayer was answered!) - I got off and switched at O'hare and sat next to a nice older lady - I got off at San Diego airport and surprised the heck outta Abbie. I didn't see them for awhile and then when I did I pretended I didn't notice them and Abbie just kinda stared at me and then I turned and waved at her and she screams "JULIE!" and jumped on me to hug me! It was sooooo cute! - We set up a tent in the backyard with Maggie's friend Christina and then ate dinner (chicken and rice) - We played improv games: Outside: the statue game and freeze inside: taxi, party, and shake your feet - Then we played truth or dare and I took a shower - I tried to go to sleep at 10:00 (12:30 my time) but Abbie kept telling me random stories for and hour and a half! Then Maggie and Sara tore into the room aruguing and I couldn't get them to leave for like five minutes. Then I finally got to sleep at like 11:45. (1:45 my time) Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - I got up at 9:10 (7:10 my time) and now, well, here I am! - posted by Jewels @ 11:02 AM (0) comments Tuesday, July 20, 2004
Hey! I'm leaving for California tomorrow - actually, today now! It's 1:55 in the AM and I'm still packing! I have to pack my CD's and player and camera and then I THINK I'm done! Yayness! I'll miss you all! I'll bring presents for all my friends! Oh, Alyse was in a car accident. Her dad was driving and a van or SUV or something pulled out in front of them. Alyse is fine, she just got a few cuts on her face and neck and bruised her knees up pretty bad - she hit the dash with her knees and the windshield with her head. That's gotta hurt! I feel bad for her. I LOVER YOU, ALYSE! Oh man. Riley and Taylor spent the night last night! We had so much fun! Riding in open (and shut) trunks of cars is fun -- don't ask. But neither one of them are my sisters and that's really sad. Not in the literal sense of sister, but I can't type what I truly mean without risk of persecution. I don't ever get comments. You know why? Because the people who are reading this and not commenting aren't really close friends of mine and my really close friends never have access to a computer -- well, Sarita does but she's never online. I can't wait till tomorrow! My little former neighbor Abbie, the one I'm gonna go see, is 6 and she doesn't know I'm coming. Her mom is telling her that she's picking up a friend of Abbie's grandma's. I can't WAIT to see her face. Thought for the day: Oh, I just can't WAIT to be king! -The Lion King- I don't really like that movie though. Just a thought. - posted by Jewels @ 2:02 PM (0) comments Friday, July 16, 2004
I was just listening to Beauty and the Beast. I really like it! My favorite is the song where Gaston asks Belle to marry him - it's so funny! I didn't think I'd like it much even though I like the movie, but I do! Okay I'm done talking about it. I'm going to try to not talk about it at all this year because if we pre-cast the show and stuff and things turn out different than expected feelings could be hurt - and I'm not talking about anyone in particular, just in general. So here it is one last time: BEAUTY AND THE FRIGGIN BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and now I'm done talking about it period and I would advise others to do the same, although I can't force anyone to do anything they don't want to. So today I looked at more colleges and let's see what else worked, got my glasses back from Cat's house (who is still not home - she ran away over a week ago but we know where she is so it's all good), got new contacts for Cali(fornnia), got a buncha books at the library - mostly monolouge books, but also the 7th Left Behind book and the B & B CD . Now I gotta go cause it's storming - I had to drive 20 mph on the way home becuase the floodwaters were so dang high! It was scary! Tata for now! - posted by Jewels @ 12:54 PM (0) comments Thursday, July 15, 2004
Just got done registering for the SAT yay fun! NOT! I am taking it in October at Harrison. Last time I had to take it in Boonville! Blech! I have been doing college research - not fun, but it's gotta get done. Well, hei-hoe, hei-hoe, it's back to work I go! *whistles merrily of* (or buffaloes off lol sm kids!) - posted by Jewels @ 4:52 PM (0) comments Wednesday, July 14, 2004
Hey! Sorry it's been so long since I've posted! My grandparents were staying in the computer room and I didn't ever get in here to post. Bah! Show went well, all things considered. As good as it could have gone anyway. Now I'm exhausted. I fell asleep at like 6:30 PM after the cast party. And I slept till 10:00 the next morning! I must've been tired. Just got my hair layered and highlighted. Not sure I like the layers, but I love the highlights- blonde and red! Next year's summer musical is Beauty and the Beast. Should be fun! I am also gonna try out for Interlochen. That's a really good musical theatre and other kinds of arts school. My dad went there when he was my age for clarinet and he loved it! I doubt I'll get in, and even if I get in I doube I'll do it, but it never hurts to have another audition experience! Starting to get really nervous about college stuff! I need organization! I am already working on monolouges and will soon start voice lessons again. I already have like 4 or 5 monolouges I could do, but 3 are from the same play (The Miracle Worker). However, those three I already have memorized because I was Annie in that play and they were my monolouges and so the character is already in me and also they're memorized. If you didn't understand that, have Alyse or someone translate it. I have to go soon. I'm taking my parents to the airport. They're going on vacation without me and my sis. Sniff. Next Tuesday, howeva I'm going to California! YAYNESS! Talk to you all lata! Mucho love! Oh, one more thing: Saturday afternoon I'm going to see Grease up in Jasper and Saturday night I'm going to see Chicago with Meridith. Some others may come. I'm not too sure yet. TTYL! Why is my blog a letter now? Hmmm. Must work on that. - posted by Jewels @ 3:11 PM (0) comments |
